Hike in the Pyrenees and explore the Valles Occidentales Natural Park. This is a great opportunity to explore Spanish and French border, landscapes and architecture. If you love hiking, this walking activity is led by a passionate and local mountain guide who will answer all your questions about the Pyrenees.
This day trip is for a small group (max. 8 people). After a two hour drive on a Minivan we will get to the starting point. We will walk up the valley to get up into the higher mountains. Know about the history, see flora and if we are lucky wild life. Later we will visit a traditional village with stone houses and an old romanesque church. When we finish you will take a good idea of the beauty of the these mountains and their history.
The Pyrenees are a natural border between Spain and France. This mountain range is a 500km line from the Atlantic ocean to the mediterranean see. The altitude varies from 400 m to 3000 m. There are forest, rivers and lakes and has a varied ethnology, folklore, architecture and history.
Fauna and flora of the Pyrenees is overwhelming. There is always much to see. You can easily spot bearded vulture, marmots and chamois. Depending on the season, you can see many flowers and plants.
The central Pyrenees have the three highest summits, Aneto (3404m /11168ft), Pico Posets (3375m) and Monte Perdido (3355m) as well as the glaciar canyons of the Ordesa National Park. There are also some glaciers on the north faces of the main mountains.

Each excursion has a level from 1 to 4, with level 4 being the most difficult.
Level 2 MODERATE: Hiking for people used to walking. Usually on well marked paths. From 3 to 4 hours of walking.
