Overview

Discover one of the best highlights of the Pyrenees in Ordesa. Take a scenic van ride from Zaragoza to the stunning National Park. Perfect for nature lovers, with breathtaking glacier valleys. Join our small group (max. 8 people) for an unforgettable day trip!

Ordesa, located in the Spanish Pyrenees, is renowned for its dramatic geological formations. The valley was carved by glacial movements during the last Ice Age, resulting in steep cliffs, deep gorges, and cascading waterfalls. Its rock layers, primarily limestone, date back to the Mesozoic era, creating a rugged landscape dotted with caves and exposed layers of sediment.

Historically, the people of Ordesa have relied on agriculture and livestock farming, with small villages nestled in the valley. Sheep, goats, and cattle were raised for wool, milk, and meat, and locals practiced subsistence farming, growing crops like potatoes and vegetables. Over time, the economy shifted toward tourism as the stunning landscapes of Ordesa attracted visitors.

Ordesa is a paradise for hikers, with a vast network of trails weaving through its impressive scenery. The Ordesa Valley offers routes for all levels of experience, from leisurely walks along the river to challenging ascents like the climb to the Ordesa and Monte Perdido National Park’s highest peaks. The diverse wildlife and changing landscapes make each hike a unique adventure.
